Forged With Purpose

We are not just a blade shop. We are guardians of an ancient craft — breathing life into legendary steel, one masterwork at a time.

Year Founded

Born from a Passion for the Blade

Smith's Blades was born in 2012 from a single obsession: to forge the most authentic, museum-worthy replicas of history's most legendary weapons.

What began as a small workshop in the Scottish Highlands has grown into a globally respected forge, serving collectors, historians, and enthusiasts across 40+ countries.

Every blade we create is the result of months of research, sourcing the finest high-carbon steel, and the tireless work of master smiths who treat each commission as a lifelong dedication to their art.

Our Process

01

Steel Selection

We source only 1060 and 1095 high-carbon steel - the same grades trusted by master swordsmiths for over a millennium. Each billet is tested for purity before the forge fires are lit.

02

Hand Forging

At temperatures exceeding 1,000°C, our master smiths shape each blade by hand - drawing it out, setting the profile, and establishing the bevels that will define its final character.

03

Heat Treatment

Each blade undergoes differential hardening - clay-coated and quenched to achieve a hard edge and a flexible spine, producing the iconic hamon line of a true forge-hardened blade.

04

Polish & Finishing

Weeks of progressive hand-polishing bring the steel to a mirror finish. Guards, grips, and pommels are then fitted and the blade is inspected against our 47-point quality checklist before it earns our seal.
