Filts Sword is a fictional weapon created by Wētā Workshop for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit film trilogy. It was designed to reflect the practical craftsmanship and bold warrior culture of the Dwarves.
Fíli carried the sword throughout the Company’s dangerous journey to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from Smaug. He used it against Orcs, Goblins, and other enemies while protecting Thorin Oakenshield and his companions.
The blade’s solid construction, angular design, and engraved Dwarven runes reflect Fíli’s royal heritage as Thorin’s nephew and one of the heirs of Durin. It later became closely associated with his loyalty, courage, and sacrifice during the Battle of the Five Armies.
