The Legend of the Barrow-blades

The Barrow-blades started as daggers, forged by the Dúnedain of the North back in the Third Age. Some call them the Daggers of Westernesse. Runes and old spells went into the steel, all aimed at one enemy: the forces of Angmar, and above them, the Witch-king himself.

For centuries these blades sat buried in the Barrow-downs, resting with the last prince of Cardolan. Then Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin stumbled into that same ground and got trapped by a Barrow-wight. Tom Bombadil pulled them free and pulled something else out of the tomb too. Four blades, one for each hobbit.

Men had carried these as daggers. On a hobbit, they became full swords, long enough to matter in a real fight. Merry's blade proved that later, at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, when it helped break the magic protecting the Witch-king.

Our Needle sword replica carries that same spirit forward, a slender blade built for someone small who still changed the course of a war.

"Bought this as a gift and the recipient was absolutely blown away. The packaging alone felt like unboxing a museum piece. The certificate of authenticity is a wonderful touch."

"Gorgeous piece, exactly as pictured. Only minor note is the scabbard fit is slightly tight at first, but it loosens up with use. Overall extremely satisfied with my purchase."
