Catspaw Dagger The Blade That Killed the Night King

This dagger goes back to Old Valyria, at least in the world of Game of Thrones. Aenar Targaryen once held it. He carried it to Dragonstone when House Targaryen left Valyria, right before the Doom struck. What happened to the blade before Aenar owned it stays unknown.

The dagger passed down to Aegon the Conqueror after that. Aegon saw a threat coming from the North, a threat that would need a united Westeros to stand against it. He believed only a Targaryen could hold that unity together. So he had his prophecy hidden inside the blade itself. The last Valyrian pyromancers etched it there, in High Valyrian glyphs. Those glyphs stay invisible in the steel until fire heats the blade and calls them out.

Centuries later, the dagger found its way into Arya Stark's hand. Bran Stark passed it to her at Winterfell, during the Battle of Winterfell against the army of the dead. Arya used it in the final moment of that fight. She drove the blade into the Night King, the one enemy Aegon's old prophecy had warned about all along, and ended the threat of the White Walkers for good. That moment closed the loop the dagger had carried since Valyria, a blade built to fight one war, finally reaching the hand meant to end it.
