Sting Sword - Elven Short Sword Replica

Sting started as nothing special. A long knife by Elvish standards. A dagger by Mannish ones. Too small for a warrior, too sharp to ignore.

Elven smiths forged it in Gondolin, back in the First Age. When the city fell, the blade vanished. No records. No owner. Just a rumor buried under centuries of dust.

Bilbo found it in a troll hoard, sitting next to two other Elven blades, Glamdring and Orcrist. Gandalf knew right away what they were looking at. Ancient work. Gondolin steel. Nothing made like it anymore.

Bilbo picked it up and kept it close through his journey with Thorin and the dwarves. He didn't name it yet. That came later, in Mirkwood, when giant spiders surrounded him and he fought his way out with a blade barely longer than his forearm. He called it Sting. The name stuck.

Sting did something no ordinary sword could. It glowed pale blue whenever orcs or goblins came near. A built in warning system, centuries before anyone needed one.

Years passed. Bilbo handed Sting to his nephew Frodo before the ring quest began. Frodo carried it everywhere. He used it against Shelob in one of the most dangerous moments of his journey. When Frodo went down, Sam picked up the same blade and fought the same spider to protect his friend.

By the end, Sting wasn't just steel anymore. It stood for something bigger. Courage that doesn't need size. Loyalty that doesn't quit. Proof that even the smallest hands can carry the heaviest fights.
